Shark Point & King Cruiser Wreck – Private Speedboat Diving Charter from Phuket
Between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands are 3 dive sites, called: Shark Point, King Cruiser Wreck and Anemone Reef. A speedboat can reach this sites in only 1 hour from Phuket were a day trip vessel needs about double the time. The name Shark Point was given for the frequent sightings of Leopard Sharks in the area. Known as Hin Mu Sang by the Thais, this dive site is close to the Anemone Reef and King Cruiser Wreck. Shark Point is made up of three main pinnacles that lie in an almost north to south formation. Depth are ranging from around 5-10 m to maximum 20-25 m. The dive sites here are in the open sea with no protection by a land mass. A speed boat tour is best in calm water.

King Cruiser Speedboat Diving Tours Phuket
The King Cruiser use to be a car and passenger ferry. The ship operated between Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands until it sank in May 1997. She was hitting the submerged rock of the Anemone Reef. Fortunately had everyone a lucky escape. Dive vessels rushed quick to the scene and rescued everyone on board. The wreck is 85 m long and 25 m wide. She has four decks with large passages and window holes divers can use to gain access to explore. However some part of the wreck has noticeably deteriorated. The top deck at the stern collapsed, so the wreck is now not safe to penetrate. Divers can explore the passenger deck from outside at around 18-22 m. The top of the wreck is at about 14 m and the maximum depth is at around 32 m. Hundreds of scorpion fish are usually camouflaged almost everywhere on the barnacles and rusting steel of the wreck. Divers are advised to be careful to not touch anything.
