Dolphin Queen Liveaboard Information
The main deck has 6 cabins – 2 double, 3 twin and 1 quad (4 berth) all air conditioned. There are also 2 larger cabins with double beds on the upper deck. In all, Dolphin Queen will take up to 18 guests.
The upper deck is where you can find the wheelhouse at the bow. At the stern is the eating area. Here you can help yourself with coffee, tea, water, electrolyte drinks and fruits which are always on the table. Breakfast is European style with toast, omelets, fried eggs, sausages, corn flakes, muesli and fruits. Lunch and Dinner are served buffet style with Thai food. You will find a TV so any videos made on the trip can be reviewed, or watch a movie. There is also a stereo so you can relax with some of your favorite music.
On the main deck at the stern is the dive platform which has plenty of room to store and prepare your gear. The Dolphin Queen has 3 boat crew, who are there to help you gear up and help with your entry and exit. There are 3 toilets with showers plus 2 showers on the dive deck. The galley is also located on the main deck. Your on-board food is prepared by the cook and her assistant who can cater for special needs.
Diving Equipment
Rental equipment is provided by the Dolphin Queen liveaboard. Rental price is 600 Baht per day for BCD/regulator (300 Baht per item per day) and 250 Baht per day for a dive computer. No charge for fins/mask/wetsuit. After pick up from your accommodation in Khao Lak you will go to the liveaboard office in Khao Lak to try gear before departure.
Torches for night dives, no charge. 15 liter tanks 150 Baht per day.
Nitrox
Nitrox is available on board @ 220 Baht per 12 liter tank fill or 3,060 Baht for 5 night trips with 18 dives, or 1,700 Baht for 3 night trips with 10 dives (170 Baht/tank).
Courses
PADI Advanced Open Water course is 8,500 Baht. PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) course is 7,200 Baht.
Note the boat has a strict rule – if you are only Open Water certified you must do the Adventure Deep Dive section of the Advanced open Water course (1,800 Baht) or you can choose to do the whole Advanced Open Water course. Courses are payable in Khao Lak.
Drinks
Drinking water, coffee, tea, electrolyte drinks are included. Sodas are 30 – 40 Baht. Beers 70 – 80 Baht.

Dolphin Queen Itinerary
Dolphin Queen runs trips for 5 nights to the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands – including a visit to a sea gypsy village in the Surin Islands. There are also short 3 night trips including the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. Trips run through the season from October to early May.

Note 2 : Transfers to / from Phuket can be arranged at extra cost. Pick up @ Phuket Airport 1,400 Baht. Transfers from Patong, Karon, Kata beaches 2,200 Baht each way by taxi. We do suggest staying in Khao Lak if taking a trip on Dolphin Queen.
