Adventure Diver Course
The Adventure Diver course is a certification halfway between Open Water and Advanced Open Water. You make 3 dives, all of which are part of the Advanced course and you can choose dives such as Deep, Wreck, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Naturalist (Fish ID), Drift and more. The dives will count as credit towards the Advanced certification or towards PADI specialty courses. And this Adventure Diver certification only takes 1 day – perfect for getting more dive experience and a new certification card if you are very short on time!
If you want, you can complete theory online using eLearning – learn at your own pace, at home or anywhere you take your laptop or iPad. You can sign up for eLearning at the PADI website. Or you can simply get the course manual from us before you start the course and do some reading and answer quiz questions in the book. Unlike the Open Water course there’s no classroom time for this course.

Adventure Diver – More Course Information
There are several options for day trips to complete this course. It will depend what kind of dives you want to do. All options are the same price. There would be an extra fee for photography of 500 Baht, and should you choose to make a Nitrox dive with your instructor, extra 600 Baht. All trips pick up from hotels between 7:15 – 7:45am, returning around 6pm. Hotel transfers included from Karon, Kata or Patong beach areas in Phuket. There are 3 possible day trips we can make, all with 3 dives :
We suggest that you stay close to Sunrise Divers (we are at Karon Beach) when taking your Adventure Diver or Advanced course. Ideally you should plan to visit our shop any day before your diving starts to complete paperwork, get your course manual and try equipment. For the day trip, pick up is from your hotel, pick up time 7:45am based on hotels in Karon or Kata Beach area. Pick up also possible from Patong. Other areas of Phuket may have an extra pick up fee.
Advanced Open Water
If you complete the 1-day Adventure Diver course, you can gain your Advanced certification another time simply by making 2 more course dives. Note that the Advanced Open Water course has 2 required dives – Deep and Navigation, whereas for the Adventure Diver you can choose any 3 dives from the course.
